This calculator will work out your repayments for either a principal & interest or interest only loan. Those loan repayments can be either per month, fortnightly or per week. A handy graph is also generated. You can also answer some questions about your heating/cooling costs and your energy efficiency and you will be given suggestions on how to improve your energy efficiency and hence save money that could go towards the loan.

Values for the home loan Repayment Type:
Loan Amount ($): This is the amount of the loan
Annual interest (%): Annual interest to be paid.
Loan term (years): Usually 20 to 30 years.
Repayment Frequency:

Extra Contributions against Principal Extra contribution per payment ($):
Extra contributions start after payments
Extra contributions allow the principal to be paid off sooner, so the actual loan will finish sooner than the originally arranged term.

Green home options Energy costs per quarter ($): Add up gas, electricity and oil costs
Ceiling fans fitted in bedrooms and lounge?
Air Conditioner fitted?
Loft insulation fitted?
Windows draught proofed?
This gives a quick assessment on how you can save money and energy, which can then go towards your loan payments to help pay it off quicker.
