This ceiling insulation batts coverage calculator will work out for you the number of insulation batt packs you will need to cover a ceiling area for you at different R-value batt ratings. This way you can find the best solution for you by trading off cost against coverage and insulation effectiveness.
To get best benefit from this insulation batts calculator you need to do the following:
- Work out the width and length (or height) of the space to the nearest cm
- Count all the downlights in the area.
- Measure the stud or joist spacing - the calculator assumes that the studs or joists run parallel to the shortest side (i.e. the width).
- Enter the values and click Calculate.
